Wait... Did Khloé Kardashian Steal A Black Woman’s Clothing Design?
A clothing designer named Destiney Bleu has accused Khloe
Kardashian's Good American fashion line of stealing ideas from her
clothing line, Dbleudazzled.
Bleu revealed that the
32-year-old "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star purchased one of
every item and proceeded to copy her designs!
Destiney's
fashion line DBleudazzled has been worn by the likes of Beyonce, Ashley
Graham and Lady Gaga. Her line includes sheer jumpsuits and stockings
adorned with crystals.
Kardashian's line, Good
American, claims that 'under no circumstances' had any copying
happened and they were going through 'legal channels' to handle the
situation.
Destiney took to Twitter to call Khloe out, tweeting, "When someone buys
1 of everything on your site, has you make them custom @dbleudazzled
work, never posts it or wears it, then copies it."
Bleu added, "I'm my own boss, there's no shutting me
up when it comes to my own clients stealing from me." She continued, "I
know its prolly unprofessional of me to spill the tea but I've had it
with these non creative millionaires stealing from indie designer."
Destiney
revealed she has receipts and shared photo comparisons of her work and
the new Good American designs. They truly do appear very similar!
Good American issued a statement on Kardashian's behalf, denying they had copied Bleu's designs.
“Under no circumstances did Good American or Khloe Kardashian
infringe on another brand’s intellectual property and we are going
through the proper legal channels to handle the situation,” the
statement read.
Good American then shared
"inspo" photos to their Instagram account of Cher, Diana Ross and
Britney Spears wearing sheer and sparkly outfits. In one caption, the
company wrote, "Important to know your fashion history #nofrauds." Of
course, that is a hashtag Bleu had shared on Twitter.
Kardashian
announced last year that she was coming out with a denim line,
partnering with Good American for a line of jeans for curvy women.
